Notices from the office
Here you'll find what our clients need to know: holidays, new procedures and deadlines we're bringing forward. We only publish things that have practical consequences, and we leave them up as long as they apply. If you're unsure whether a notice concerns you, give us a call.
Summer holidays from 20 July to 7 August
During these three weeks the office is closed and the phone is not staffed. We need documents for deadline matters by early July, and we'll deal with them beforehand. Enquiries via the form will be answered in the first week after our return.
Document portal now available to all clients
You now upload documents, bank statements and contracts via a personal login. The data is stored on a server in Switzerland, and access is limited to your contact person and their deputy. On request, Nadja Hürlimann will show you the portal in ten minutes over the phone.
New capacity for payroll mandates
Since May we have again been taking on payroll accounting for new clients, up to around forty employees. The reason is that several Zug fiduciaries are retiring and passing on their clients. Switching on 1 January is easiest, but mid-year is equally possible.
Monthly consultation hours for company formations
On the first Wednesday of every month we reserve afternoon slots for founders. The meeting lasts thirty minutes and costs nothing, even if nothing comes of it afterwards. Registration by telephone; the four slots are usually taken two weeks in advance.
Frequently asked
Fiduciary work isn't just taxes
Some assumptions have been with us for twenty years, and we correct them almost daily. The most common one: that you only need a fiduciary office once the tax return arrives. Here are the points we regularly clarify on the phone.
I have a small company — is a fiduciary worth it at all?
The greatest benefit isn't in the bookkeeping but in the decisions that come before it: legal form, salary or dividend, timing of investments. Otherwise even small businesses pay unnecessary tax every year. A mandate with 150 000 francs in revenue can cost under 3 000 francs a year with us.
Do I have to hand over my accounting entirely?
No. Many clients record entries themselves and only give us the financial statements and taxes. We set up the software, train you and check quarterly so that errors don't run on for a whole year.
Is changing fiduciary complicated?
As a rule, no. We collect the data from your previous adviser, check the opening balance sheet and take over the current deadlines. The effort for you is usually limited to a power of attorney and a one-hour meeting.
Do you charge for every minute I'm on the phone?
Short queries of a few minutes are not invoiced; that's part of looking after you. Only when a question requires genuine investigation do we tell you in advance that there will be a charge. You won't receive an invoice from us for a phone call you weren't expecting.
Can you simply optimise my taxes away?
No, and we don't promise that either. What is possible: clean accruals, buy-ins to the pension fund, correct depreciation and planning across several years. All of that has to be decided before year-end, not after.
Are my figures safe with you?
We are bound by confidentiality and the professional code of TREUHAND SUISSE. Your data is stored on servers in Switzerland, and payroll data is kept separately in addition. Access is limited to those working on your file.
